Offering the full range of what one would expect from a fine-dining tasting menu, the Degustation Menu includes a starter, a fish course, a meat course, a cheese course and dessert. “This combination of dishes truly showcases what our restaurant is all about”, says Executive Chef Gregory Czarnecki.
Food and wine pairing menus all too often consider the pairing right at the end, matching a wine to a finished dish. Chef Gregory’s passion of cooking for the wine, and not the other way around, is best experienced with this 6 course menu, where each course is created to pair effortlessly with one of Waterkloof’s fine wines.
Inspired by the seasons, culinary trends and the surprises that his local suppliers may have in store for him, Chef Gregory changes the menu regularly. This also allows guests to encounter a new and exciting dish with each visit.
“This is a menu for the adventurous guest,” says Chef Gregory. “We have regulars who only ever order this menu and are delighted each and every time. My aim is for each guest to enjoy at least one new taste or sensory experience and to leave with a wonderful, lasting memory.”
