Lauren, the radiant bride from one of our most recent weddings, lets us in on her special day with her Prince Charming, Sean, at Waterkloof.
What…is your story?
We live in Bryanston and work in Johannesburg. Sean works at Investec and I am a preschool teacher at Buttercup Preschool.
Where…did the beautiful colour scheme come from? Our colour scheme was yellow, grey and white. Grey is such an integral part of the venue, due to the architecture, that it had to be one of our colours! We chose white as it symbolises a sense of harmony and clarity for our new beginning, and is traditional favourite. Finally, yellow symbolises joy and happiness, and reflects our creative and crazy sides! As for who came up with it? Definitely me!
Why…did you choose Waterkloof? Waterkloof is truly unique and this spoke volumes to us, as we are definitely not your “Average Joe’s”. The setting is incredible, the building a true work of art, the food simply mouth-watering and the wine sensational… it truly is all we ever could have dreamed of and more.
Which…was your favourite dish of the ceremony? The asparagus risotto starter with parmesan foam – our friends and family still drool when speaking about it!
What…is your favourite memory of the day? Coming down in the lift and walking into the reception room with my husband, to be greeted by the people we love and who mean the world to us – and, to top it all off, the spectacular setting and decor.
