Waterkloof strikes gold at LIWF 2012
Our attendance at this year’s London International Wine Fair was made all the more exciting and special with the mid-show announcement that our Circle of Life White 2010 had won a Gold in the Decanter World Wine Awards 2012. The 2011 vintage of this gold-studded white blend then went on to win “LIWF Best White Wine in Show” at the end of the fair, putting the cherry on top of a great visit to London.
The Decanter World Wine Awards is regarded as one of the most serious and comprehensive international wine competitions, and a win at the awards is respected as a remarkable achievement. Wines may be awarded a Commendation, Bronze, Silver, Gold or a Regional Trophy. Our wines are no strangers to wins at these awards, with previous accolades including golds for our Circumstance Merlot 2005 and Circumstance Syrah 2008, as well as numerous silvers, and a Regional Trophy award for our Circumstance Chenin Blanc 2009 at the 2011 awards.
We’d like to congratulate all the winners at this year’s Decanter World Wine Awards, and the Best in Show winners at the London International Wine Fair. If you’d like a taste of our award-winning Circle of Life White, and you find yourself in the east this week, then do visit us at Stand BC77 Counter 14 at Vinexpo Asia-Pacific. If you’re in South Africa, and more specifically in the rainy Cape, then make sure to head straight to our Tasting Lounge for a leisurely taste alongside our crackling fireplace. We’ll also be pouring our Circle of Life White 2011 at the Taste of the Helderberg event next week (7 June), so make sure to visit us there as well.
