If you’ve got four hooves and you’re looking for luxurious accommodation in the Schapenberg, look no further than Waterkloof!
Set against the idyllic backdrop of a breathtaking wine estate, and nestled cosily amongst the vines, one finds Waterkloof’s premium lodging offering. With 7 bedrooms, each boasting endless views out over the vines and Schapenberg hills from its classic stable door entrance, this is boutique accommodation at its best.
Each spacious room comes fully equipped with a large, comfortable sleeping area. Only the finest straw and softest wooden shavings are used for bedding, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Each room also comes standard with its own generous feed and water bucket, perfect for that refreshing drink and snack when the mood strikes.
Breakfast and dinner are included daily, and are served in the comfort of each room. Our catering manager provides a sumptuous platter of sweet lucerne and oat hay, to be enjoyed inside or – weather permitting – outside on the private balcony, whilst gazing at the panoramic views.
Every room is made up perfectly each morning after departure for the day, with fresh bedding and water. In the evening, a turn-down service is offered with fresh apples to nibble after the long day.
We are passionate about service here at Waterkloof and strive to ensure the most comfortable, pampering stay for our guests. Each room boasts its own personal attendant, who sees to each guest’s every need. The attendants also provide an indulgent twice-daily grooming session to relax, rejuvenate and revive.
Given the exclusivity of our accommodation offering, we reserve the right to screen and select guests at our discretion. Currently, we have 7 guests making permanent use of our facilities, and therefore are unfortunately unable to accept any new applications at this stage.
Should you wish to be added to our waiting list, we are looking for the following non-negotiable qualities:
– Horse (preferably Percheron);
– Hard-working;
– Must love working in the vineyards;
– Should enjoy the company of other horses;
– Must love chickens and sheep.
