At Waterkloof, we’re really setting out to prove that fine wine needn’t cost the earth (in every sense!), so we were delighted to read that the new 2012 vintage of Circle of Life White has already begun garnering praise from the world’s most respected wine publications. Decanter have just featured our biodynamic blend in their “WEEKDAY WINES” section, which highlights “25 exciting and accessible wines at very reasonable prices.” Here’s what they had to say:
“Waterkloof follows biodynamic practices. A proportion of the grapes in this tangy yet creamy blend were co-fermented, and the final result is complex and great value, displaying notes of peach, lime and minerals” 89/100
This follows more kind words in the same section of Decanter’s December issue for the newest member of the Waterkloof family – Seriously Cool Chenin Blanc 2014. Here’s the lowdown on:
“This new wine from biodynamic producer Waterkloof is a fantastic example of what Chenin Blanc can do in this part of the world. Aromas of stone fruit and white flowers, then a textured, complex palate supported by crisp acidity and a rich honey finish. It certainly lives up to its name!” 90/100
