Julia Harding MW from the respected WWW.JANCISROBINSON.COM recently tasted our 2016 Sauvignons from Waterkloof.
Circumstance Sauvignon Blanc 2016 received 16.5/20 (“Distinguished”), along with a GV denoting a “seriously good value bottle”:
“There’s a touch of spice here as well as grassy citrus. Aromatic without being pungent. Intense, dry and textured. Long, dry finish. GV 13.5% Drink 2017-2020”
Waterkloof Sauvignon Blanc 2016 rose the bar further with a coveted and hard to come by 17/20 denoting a “Superior” wine:
“One block that has even lower yields because the granite soils are less decomposed. Not very aromatic initially. Intense and dry and with a slight grip even though they avoid phenolic pick-up. Deep and long. A food wine. 13.5% Drink 2017-2021”
This follows unanimous praise for our flagship wine from some of the world’s most-followed wine writers and publications:
