In honour of National Women’s Day this week, we asked a few of our Waterkloof ladies to share their thoughts about wine, Women’s Day and their ultimate indulgences.

What I love most about wine… is that, due to working in the industry, I have the chance to meet so many colourful people, to see different countries and to be exposed to different cultures
The wine or variety I think is most feminine is… Chablis, as it has a steely minerality, with great structure.
When it comes to wine, women want… the list can go on forever!
I’ll be celebrating Women’s Day… by jointly celebrating my step-daughter Caitlin’s birthday, so it’ll be a day filled with little girls, party packs, movies and birthday cake!
My ultimate indulgence is… me on a pristine beach, lying on a sun lounger, reading a thick novel while sipping a crisp Sauvignon Blanc.

What I love most about wine… is that it’s born, grows, ages and dies, and that this life force can be discerned by the human senses.
The wine or variety I think is most feminine is… French champagne. I think it the sexiest, most playfully femine of wine styles, even if sometimes the body of the same wine is masculine.
When it comes to wine, women want… value for money, meaning something they can enjoy with their girlfriends and afford more than one bottle of!
I’ll be celebrating Women’s Day… by doing the one thing that men expect us to do. Shopping!
My ultimate indulgence is… a month on a tropical island surrounded by all my absolute favourite things and indulgences – which may or may not include my favourite man (depends how well he behaves before I leave)!

The wine or variety I think is most feminine is… sexy Syrah, made in an elegant style with soft perfume notes.
When it comes to wine, women want… screw caps, so they can open the bottle!
