Tim Atkin MW’s comprehensive 2015 South African Wine Report has revealed his classification of over 1,000 South African wines and highlighted the top-scoring wines which have received a rating of 90 points or more out of a possible 100.
This year’s 40,000 word report is based on his visits to the Cape and further, extensive tastings in London. “I always enjoy visiting the Cape – particularly at a time when the local wine industry is so exciting,” says Tim of his report. “I again tasted more than 1,000 wines this year and feel very positive about the future of Cape wine.”

Circumstance Viognier 2013: 92 points; selected as one of the Best Alternative Whites
Waterkloof Sauvignon Blanc 2014: 93 points; selected as one of the Best Sauvignon Blancs
Circumstance Syrah 2012: 93 points, selected as one of the Best Syrahs
Tim also mentions Waterkloof Cellarmaster Nadia Barnard as one of South Africa’s young gun leading winemakers.
