We went to the same high school, but didn’t really know each other then. We officially met the year after I finished school.
WHY… DID YOU CHOOSE WATERKLOOF?
It stood out by miles from all the other venues we visited. Waterkloof has an amazing view and is a very modern venue – not much would need to be done to it in terms of decor, draping etc. We loved the minimalistic feel… and we (or I) were especially sold when we saw the glass elevator!
WHAT… WAS YOUR FAVOURITE DISH AND WINE?
Definitely the Chicken with Citrus Risotto and the Peacock Ridge range.

Coming down in the elevator and seeing Kirsten’s face! That moment was so big and so overwhelming, I’ll remember it for the rest of my life.
WHAT… ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR FUTURE BRIDES?
No-one wants to wake up the next morning and regret missing out on the many special moments of your wedding day because you were so busy stressing about the little things. Make a conscious decision on the day that “whatever happens, happens”.
And have FUN on your wedding day – that’s what it’s supposed to be: A fun celebration, not a stiffly orchestrated production!
