HOW…DID YOU MEET?
Eugene came over to work in the UK – he started in London but, by chance (and a lack of local geography), ended up in Warwickshire where we met in a farm shop. The poor guy didn’t know the area, so I willingly offered to show him around and we soon became inseparable!
WHY…DID YOU CHOOSE WATERKLOOF?
When we arrived at Waterkloof, our decision was easy. You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful location and venue! Every element is simply perfect and the building’s contemporary design, accompanied with Waterkloof’’s phenomenal menu, reflects our taste completely.
WHAT…IS YOUR BEST MEMORY OF THE DAY?
The whole day was magical. There were so many incredible, unforgettable moments – we have been buzzing ever since! The ceremony itself on the lawns was absolutely beautiful. We were both amazed by how spectacular Waterkloof looked when we went inside: Elmarie from El Le Fleur did an absolutely spectacular job with the flowers – it was like a breath-taking secret garden. The band, food and wines were all out of this world, but one of our favourite aspects was watching all our friends and family having such an amazing time. We couldn’t stop smiling the whole day!
WHAT…IS YOUR FAVOURITE WATERKLOOF WINE?
The Circumstance Sauvignon Blanc and Circumstance Cabernet Sauvignon are our joint winners!
WHAT… WAS YOUR FAVOURITE DISH?
Chef Gregory’s menu is beyond delicious, so it’s hard to choose. We particularly enjoyed the combinations of flavours in Smiling Valley Marron and all our guests loved the Karan Beef Fillet but, as a chocoholic, I met my match in the Death by Valrhona – wow!
